Due to existing of several disparate solutions, Carrier Commercial Refrigeration decided to optimize its integration layer with SAP back-office main systems across Europe. The final decision was made to leverage SAP Cloud Platform Integration (SAP CPI) as the main platform between the existing SAP back-office and non-SAP applications.

Maurice Ward, the global freight forwarding, warehousing, and logistics application, was the first one chosen to be integrated with SAP back-office leveraging the SAP CPI platform. Using standard preconfigured interfaces, integration was done in a few weeks and served as the best practice to be applied for the rest of existing non-SAP applications.

As the application of the SAP CPI layer already proved its benefits, this will be further rolled out across Carrier’s European subsidiaries and becomes a major integration standard.
