ČEZ Group’s Purchasing Application Support project named Grand Winner

Together with our colleagues from ČEZ ICT Services and ČEZ Group’s purchasing team, we had the honour of working on the “Purchase Application Support” project.

This project has been named the Grand Winner – SAP Quality Awards in the area of Business Transformation: Functional Transformation for Central and Eastern Europe.

For 16 years, ČEZ Group operated the SAP SRM central procurement system, including the SAP SUS supplier portal. The project involved a generational renewal of the procurement system, which was carried out last year using the following solutions:

SAP S/4 HANA for Central Procurement
SAP Ariba Cloud solution

The aim of the project was not only to maintain but also to optimise the scope of digitalised functionalities within the P2P (Procure to Pay) and P2S (Procure to Source) processes, including electronic communication with suppliers. The project resulted in the successful implementation of a new procurement solution, as evidenced by the fact that it is now actively used by more than 9,000 internal users of ČEZ Group and 1,910 suppliers.

“ČEZ Group has a great implementation team whose expertise was very helpful. Working on the project was very fulfilling and it was a wonderful experience. Everyone on the team approached this challenge with a positive attitude. With ČEZ Group’s team of experts from various departments, we were able to effectively implement the processes to meet the needs of the purchasing agents’ day-to-day tasks. The Procurement Support Department provided user training and extensive supplier onboarding. Colleagues from ČEZ ICT implemented extensive integration scenarios and system administration. Each member of the team played their part well and as a result, the project won this prestigious award.”
