The latest SAP Ariba release is planned for the 20^thMay 2022 and introduces many interesting functionalities.

Here are some of them:

Users of the mobile app SAP Ariba Procurement Mobile can search for suppliers, view their profiles, and create new supplier registration requests to SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance solution. They can also track the status of supplier registration process.
Users can use the Buy again option, a standard functionality of web solution Guided Buying, to make a copy of existing requisition or single line items, regardless of PR status.

Guided Sourcing capability of SAP Ariba Sourcing solution now supports:
- Multi-stage projects, that enable users to link one or more guided sourcing projects and copy project data to guided sourcing follow-on projects. Sourcing projects are linked as predecessor and follow-on projects and users can copy content, suppliers, and bids from one event to the next. Users can model the different stages of a multi-stage negotiation, e. g. begin with an RFI, continue with an RFP, and finish with an auction, while copying information over from stage to stage.
- Automatic addition of preferred suppliers in guided sourcing events, when buyers use SAP Ariba Sourcing integrated with SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance. Preferred suppliers are automatically added to the event based on the commodity and region values selected for the event or a line item. Buyers can review and modify the list of automatically added suppliers before publishing.
- Message board for full projects in guided sourcing, that adds a message board panel to guided sourcing full projects allowing to communicate with internal project team members and external supplier contacts more efficiently.

Supplier discontinuation process is the new feature added to SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance. The feature introduces a new supplier lifecycle disqualification, which is a separate internal process with its own workflow and process statuses in the Modular Process Framework.
Summary area in the supplier 360° profile now provides additional information within new panels that contain:
- Key supplier information incl. registration and qualification status.
- Supplier contacts and addresses.
- Risk profile.
- Supplier IDs.

Select group of users can be given the ability to add or remove attachments in approved requisitions if by default such actions are forbidden by the system configuration.
Users can now use a self-service method of transfer of approvable documents ownership. It allows any user in an organization to submit a special request to transfer ownership of purchase requisitions or invoices to other users.
New feature enables integration of SAP Ariba Contract Compliance with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Purchase Contract. This feature supports importing purchase contracts from SAP S/4HANA Cloud and creating corresponding item-level compliance contracts in SAP Ariba. Catalog subscriptions are generated for all the items in these contracts and the items are made available for users to search for them in the catalog and purchase them.

SAP S/4HANA for supplier quotation management (SAP S/4HANA for product sourcing) can now integrate with SAP Business Network. Buyers can create product sourcing projects in SAP S/4HANA and invite their vendors to view and manage sourcing projects on SAP Business Network.
